Stew Leonard`s in Danbury

The one grocery store that has always been Covid19 read as far as people going in one direction. Everything is clean, neat and easy to access. The staffs are always polite. I do miss the salad bar, but I can live without making my own salad.

If you have a delivery here please make sure you have an appointment. I got here 6:45am and got a door by 3:15pm it's b/c they said I hadn't an appt time but I had one and it was 7:00am.anyways double check with your broker before you got here

Yes I was at Stews today 3/23/2020, Would like to start out with how grateful I am that stews is open and there employees are putting there life in jeopardy so we can all eat ,but I went in today and did my shopping and was waiting in line to check out ((with distance))and I heard someone say you can com here it was the girl at customer service ((I never got her name but she was a pretty girl with black curly hair,and her foot was in a boot)she was absolutely amazing with everything going on nowadays you wouldn’t expect any one to be happy,but this girl was as bubbly and happy and polite,she was the true meaning of customer service,she’s a keeper and I’m sorry I didn’t get her name.but thank you stews for the fantastic service

Place was packed. Ordered ahead of time for easy pick up on arrival. Went inside for a few odds and ends, staff couldn't be any friendlier.

Amazing fresh food across all departments of the store, baked goods to die for, store-roasted coffee, cheeses, veggies, fruit, butcher & fish market. They have a big following, which leads to frequent turning of the stock and everything is very fresh. Lots of tasty prepared foods for when you don't want to cook. Be sure to get some ice cream on the way out! They are on Instacart and their own staff does the shopping and you pick up at designated parking spaces. Very easy!

Usually, the customer service is top notch. The girl that sold me an ice cream yesterday afternoon (4/20) really did not meet my expectations of a Stew Leonard's team member. She walked away before I finished my order, gave me the wrong thing, then had an attitude about it. Maybe she was having a bad day but I get the feeling that customer service is not her thing.

This place always has great produce, meat and milk. What a great place to shop.

Ordered Surf and Turf Mother's Day Dinner for 8 and it exceeded our expectations tenfold.The meal was excellent and the attention to detail provided by Ashley in your catering department deserves a loud shout out!Thanks again, Michael

Went to go shopping 45 minutes before the store closes and many of the shelves were cleared of the food.

Whenever we go to Danbury we always try and swing by Stew Leonard's for some groceries. They have a wonderful selection of meat's, produce, dairy, coffee and fish.

As usual good produce, fair prices, and picked up dinner.

Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Fresh fruit and veggies. Quick checkout, definitely fair prices. A nice and clean place to make my grocery shopping. Enjoy shopping here.

Great items little pricey but you get good quality

This is a great store with a wide array of products, particularly fresh produce, meats and dairies. What really stands out at Stew's is the immersive decor and unusual floor layout, guiding you from one section to another, each with its own theme. Kids will love the animation throughout. This location also has a hot and cold buffet with food prepared on-site, charged by the weight. Prices seemed more than reasonable. A pleasure to shop there.

Stew LEONARDS in Danbury allows customers to enter and shop without masks. Management shrugged their shoulders and the customer 2 inches from me laughed and said go back to NY.

A visit to Stews is always a delicious experience. Bought some chicken thighs and stuffed potatoes for a nice dinner. And was so pleased to find fresh guavas. Yum. The fruit is always so fresh. I got some cold cuts, store brand, very good. Ready for lunches this week.

Stew leonards is less a grocery store and more an experience. This location went from being a tent in a dirt lot to the massive wood-faced structure it is now. Like an ikea for food, everything is put in a long, meandering maze that begs you to make impulse buys. Add to that the ubiquitous free samples and the stage is set for a shopping spree. I make the trip often, particularly during the holidays when seasonal items become available.

Arrived at my appt time and 3 hours later still waiting for a door. 5 trucks came in behind me and they have all unloaded and left.

This is one of the BEST parts about living in New England. The atmosphere of this place is absolutely unforgettable. If you love clam chowder, you have to try their New England clam chowder. I come here specifically for their chocolate milk, clam chowder, meats and ice cream!!

It was so disappointing tonight no sandwichs made up no hot food prepared no grinders it was just a total disappointing mess

Great store - especially the dairy department. I was helped by a very courteous and informed young man, I think his name is Danny O'Neill, who I believe is that department manager. Will be back.

Only place i get my veal or steak

We love this place. We run in with a list that has three things on it, and then we go through the prepared foods! And I love the animal performers: Gymnast Mickey Mouse is a favorite.

Family been coming here over 10 years and love it! Less expensive than Whole Foods so I don’t know why people are complaining that it’s expensive. It’s an organic fresh dairy store so of course the prices are going to be a little bit higher then shop rite. Everything very fresh, nice workers, always very happy here!

I’m the type of person that usually avoids grocery shopping but Stew’s always provides such a great experience and wonderful costumer service. When I asked for help locating an idea I was guided across the store and right to it with a smile. They also manage to prepare great dinner ideas that are fresh and healthy. The sample are always amazing. Thank you!

I love Stew Leonard's and all their fresh options. A cherry dole whip ice cream and im a happy shopper.

Stew's isn't just a grocery store...it's an experience. As you navigate your way through the store, animated character's tell the story of Stew Leonard's. Each section, whether it is the deli, produce, seafood or deli, is decorated with a theme and a "mascot". It is a great place to bring the kids and even has soft serve and frozen yogurt to indulge in while enjoying the outdoor mini farm with goats, chickens, ducks and even a cow! It is great fun...you'll almost forget you are doing your shopping!

Attractive and good quality store. Fun animatronics all over that as a regular I almost forget are there, until some hits a button to make them sing!

Listen, I will always give credit when credit is due. For a guy with two first names, Stewart Leonard has some pretty nice G stores to visit. I enjoy the quality of the beef and poultry. The prepared foods are enjoyable as well. Could I do without having to go through a maze to pick up some groceries? Sure, but I respect the psychology behind it. Very friendly staff and the crew neck sweatshirts are a nice touch. My only critique is in regards to the depressing radio ads but I understand the message being sent. Great job Stewart Leonard.

It was a very good visit. We went for only a couple of things and left with a full shopping cart. The store is always very clean and everything that is sold is also very fresh.

Awesome place love the Sushi, love the baked goods, love the large variety of vegetables. A little pricey but, you get what you pay for.

The price of food has gone up so much its not worth going anymore... service wasn't great quality of food has gone way down .... stick with norwalk location better service alot better in every way

Lots of fun to visit. Everything is made fresh. They are actually making everything in different stations as you walk through the various departments. Don't forget to look up above the grocery shelves... they have animated entertainment too. A unique grocery experience.

I had purchased items from the Danbury CT Stew Leonard’s store this week. I’ve been shopping in the store for over 20 years and it is always wonderful. However, the manager Hunter Flaig made my experience the best ever! He was incredibly warm, kind and incredibly helpful!!! He made sure that my order was perfect . I am very grateful to Stew Leonard’s for such a great experience thanks to Hunter!

Horrible!!! I really want a refund! The service was horrible! Every employee with the exception of 1 was rude and didn’t know anything! The food was over priced and absolutely horrible! The cheesecake was disgusting! We threw it all out because of how inedible everything was! Definitely avoid at all costs!

You guys need to make more ready to go 5.99 sub sandwiches you guys ran out by 3pm. I Wasted a trip because of the poor management here, it's not that hard to make enough for supply and demand, the produce is good but the management is a problem here
